36

Working on issue 36. For some reason changed the grid to 6 panels/page. Well...to save space. Otherwise the issue would've taken two. Even now it's going to be 32. Ok I guess. Planning to finish first week of May. Then onwards. Issue 37 will then conclude chapter...I've lost track. Five or six. Cheers.

5

Been working on issue 36 for 4 days with 5 pages finished. Going smooth so far. The issue is going to be 32 pgs or so it looks like. It'll get slower real soon. This issue has some stuff I wanted to get into since issue 13 and here I am. Made even a small mistake that cost me an hour. Should double check everything, especially when time has gone by.
Meanwhile issue 35 is being scanned. First issue this year.

Opera

Some years back I took a break from listening to opera. Can't remember any specific reason. Might've been when my son was quite small. I didn't stop buying cd's occasionally, but didn't seem to listen them with quite the same enthusiasm.
Anyways, now I notice it is back. I'm now listening those cd's I bought years back but didn't then quite dig in. There wasn't time, or patience. Now I feel I'm resiscovering the artform. Been listening to Schoenberg's Moses und Aron, Wagner's Rienzi, Händel's Orlando... and many more. And most of the other stuff I listen seems to pale in comparison (with a few exceptions: Coltrane for one)
In 2000 I wrote a libretto for an opera composed by Kimmo Hakola. Now I would'nt mind doing another. But then it would have to be a longer thing. Six hours maybe.

Don't tell anyone

I got a grant that will help me continuing working until september. And what I do first: I search for opera recordings I want to have. These days it's mostly Britten. Maybe Alban Berg's Lulu. Good.
But seriously, this grant takes some weight from my back. I will finish issue 35 next week and move along to 36 with no worries. And I'll keep going. Thank U.

Something I did

Paul Gravett kindly asked me to do a 2 pager for ArtReview magazine. Proud to be there.
This particular story takes place between a couple of panels in issue 23 of Läskimooses.
I have plenty of these "sidetrack" stories lined up for the notes-book I have planned after the main book. Additions and alternate versions...

After

After läskimooses
1. The book I started, silvia regina themed stories...15 pgs finished
2. Stories in the manner of 14th of this month. Small nice book
3. Oh and my favorite..can't tell much. A set of comic books each one based on one book by... oh tell u later

After 2020 then.

Counting counting

What someone might miss is the thing that the thing (Läskimooses) has an actual ending. And it's coming up. But not soon enough not. Still at least 20 issues, but might be longer. And I'd like to compress the thing, but it's against the nature of the book. Oh well back to work.
